I’ve run into a problem that I’m not very happy about. For the last year, I’ve been attempting to video chat between Mac OS X and Windows. It is not really possible unfortunately. Mac to Mac… all good. Windows to Windows… great! Mac to Windows… nope, nada. At least, not anything decent.

I can get Yahoo! Messenger to give me a crappy little window that updates every second or so, but that’s not really video chat. It’s certainly not real time.

Does anyone out there have a solution to this problem that doesn’t suck? I’ve tried a ton of little open source things, but none of them really work. They’re all severely limited.

Message to Skype: Please get out the new version of Skype for the Mac. It’s really taking FAR too long to get this done. It’s just sad.
