And then one day he decided to go in after it. He wasn’t sure what he’d find, but he knew it would be the answer. If he’d known the answer, he wouldn’t even have to go in there to get it… and drag it out into the cold light of day… get a good look… kick it around a bit and see what the thought of it. There fears, of course, were that maybe it was the end. Maybe that would just be it, no more, nothing.
On the other hand, what if it were just the befinning, the start of something wonderful. What if it was the CURE? No, not the band (talented though they might be, he doubted they were in there).
No, maybe not.
But what if it wasn’t interesting @ all? Just a lump… boring, uninteresting and unmoving? What then? After all that effort, what if there was nothing? NOTHING?!? The effort would have been for nought? And what then? Still looking? NO! And for what? Nothing, or at least something less than what he’d hoped for.
Not a lump, not the end, not the beginning… what else then? There’s only the beginning, middle and end. If you can’t have all, you must have one. There’s just no way to tell without going there, right? Go, and you’ll know…
Oh the curiosity!
It shapes us.
It dares us to BE us…
calls us in
“come break down my wall”
But what more?
No more, go and see
what may be
or not be at all.
